The resort is set among 5 million square meters of a beautiful protected Natura 2000 nature reserve. Guests can get closer to nature, whether that’s hiking through the nature trail, mountain biking through the vineyards and olive groves, enjoying a round of golf on the golf course or savoring local home-grown produce in the resort restaurants. At Minthis, your hours can be as active or relaxed as you choose them to be, every moment is restorative allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of life.
The 18-hole championship course winds its way past a 12th-century monastery with breath-taking views of the Troodos Mountains and beyond. It boasts outstanding holes that organically follow the natural undulations of the topography, looping past water features and ancient groves, with hundreds of olive trees, fruit orchards and grapevines. Nature is an ever-present element, and the Golf Club was recently the first in Cyprus to be awarded with a GEO Certification, recognizing the eco-friendly sustainable approach and commitment to nature, resource conservation and community
value.

The Plateia is a place for community and energy, where you can discover authentic Cypriot hospitality, art and tradition. Evoking traditional Cypriot life, the beautifully open and contemporary dining options have been designed for an immersive experience with panoramic picture-perfect views and local natural produce at the heart of the Mediterranean inspired dishes.
Designed by legendary golf architect Donald Steel in 1994 and renovated by renowned course designers Mackenzie and Ebert, the course is a flawless example of their philosophy that golf courses should fit into the terrain, be in keeping with their setting and focus on the details. They are famed for their work on the British Open Championship courses, the same design company used by the R&A for many of the courses on the Open Rota. Tom Mackenzie and his team have been instrumental in the recent course development. With their expert help, all greens have been rebuilt to conform to the sand-based USGA specification standard and the golf course reopened in spring 2021 with brand new greens and a redesigned layout.
Few places are so tranquil for a friendly game, elevated tees invite everyone to “have a go”, yet narrow tree-lined fairways provide a challenge, with each shot requiring careful assessment. The opening nine holes is the shorter half of the course, encircling the historic monastery, vineyards, orchards and olive trees. These holes have been cleverly designed to give players a fair start to the round, keeping in mind the sloping tree-lined Par 5 3rd hole and the long 6th hole with blind approach. At the turn, the 9th hole finishes in front of the impressive contemporary Clubhouse. The back nine holes are all about precision and there is great variety of challenges. The newly designed 10th hole is a perfect example of the accurate insight to the challenges you will face. It may be hard to concentrate on dramatically elevated tees because of the picture-perfect views, but you will need a well struck tee shot over the valley to find the generous fairway. Once on the fairway, you are faced with a blind, severely uphill second shot. With the back of the green surrounded with out of bounds, the percentage play would be to lay up near the fairway bunker at the top of the hill, giving you a 50 – 100m approach shot to the green. It undoubtedly requires some skill and is a hole to remember with one of the best views in Cyprus. In addition, the short Par 4 14th offers the best risk and reward tee shot on the course. The green can be reached with a well struck drive, although danger lurks with the steep valley cascading away. The ultimate test is the Par 3 15th hole, an impressive island green and Minthis’ signature hole.
