The Centurion Club – Troon International

Ideally located close to London in St Albans, The Centurion Club provides its members and guests with a golfing experience of unrivalled quality and comfort. The city of London is approximately 40 minutes from this exclusive golf club, with the stunning Hertfordshire countryside complementing the urban epicenter of London.

Opened in 2013, the challenging course layout, which meanders over spectacular topography, features some 80 bunkers, four major water features and undulating bent grass greens. Each hole is unique and at 7,200 yards from the back tees, it will challenge the very best golfers both in terms of their playing ability as well as their strategic approach to the game, whilst the five teeing grounds of varying length will allow golfers of all abilities to enjoy The Centurion Club’s offering. Many of the carries and rough areas have been sown using indigenous fescue grasses and occasionally, these features have been added across the approaches to greens or across fairways giving the site a distinctly links feel.

Construction of the club building began in summer 2014 and is slated for completion in early 2016.

When completed, the clubhouse will have views across the 18th and beyond and has been designed in a contemporary and welcoming manner creating a relaxed and comfortable space where members and their guests can enjoy the company of their fellow golfers and business colleagues.
