Borobudur International Golf & Country Club was completely renovated in 2006 by Jababeka & Co. and world-class golfer, Douglas Duncanson was invited to redesign the course. His elegant designs made the course what it is today – an elegant, eco-friendly, and international standard golf course with beautiful mountainous view as its nature backdrop. The club is one hour away from three nearby mountains – two of which are active volcanoes and one is a dormant volcano, supplying the course with fresh mountain breeze and cool climate. Golfers are treated to magnificent mountain vistas at many holes on the course.

The course is lined with numerous tall palm trees and colourful shrubs. Vibrant, bushy tropical trees surround the backdrop giving the course a relaxing and calm ambiance away from the city noise.

Located in the heart of Magelang City, the club is surrounded by cultural landscapes, beautiful colonial style buildings, and vibrant city landscapes. The UNESCO World Heritage Borobudur Temples is only 30 minutes away from the club and golfers can experience an unique glimpse of Javanese civilization.
